Hello!
My name is Laura D'Andrea and I am a Minneapolis-based creative leader of people, projects, and process.
If you work with me, you can expect creativity, authenticity and merit. I apply gestalt design theory, the Golden Ratio and the Rule of Thirds to my work. I am also big believer in cause and effect: If This Then That.
As a student at DeLaSalle High School on Nicollet Island in Minneapolis, I had access front-row access to the mighty Mississippi and fringe culture. I have always been interested in 'outsider art' as evidenced in my childhood work.
I am a self-proclaimed freak.
As a semi-adult in the year 1990, I got a job at Kinko's Copy Centers which schooled me in extreme customer / client service coupled with a penchant for commercial art.
I realized there was a way to 'make art' and also make an incredible amount of cheese (read: money).
I worked my way through and up and found myself as the editorial art director for Pulse of the Twin Cities, a local rag.
In October 2022, that chapter came to an end when I was laid off at Best Buy due to a reorganization two weeks shy of my 22 year anniversary.
